Poster Presentations Information

The conference provides poster boards of 70x100cm in portrait orientation. You can use the provided template (click here), but it is optional. Ensure your design matches these dimensions to avoid display issues on site. Details regarding presentation schedules will be available soon.

Oral Presentations Information

Details regarding oral presentation formats and schedules will be available soon.

General Information

Submissions are received via the PCS platform: https://new.precisionconference.com/submissions

All accepted papers will be published by Springer in the “Lecture Notes in Computer Science” series. You can find previous editions of the conference proceedings at this address: https://link.springer.com/conference/eurohaptics

Important Dates
  • Full Papers Submission Deadline: 19th January 23rd January 2026, 11:59 PM AoE (submit here)
  • Notification of Acceptance: 30th March 2026
  • Camera-ready deadline: 20th April 2026

Submission and Presentation Categories

Two lengths are available for paper submissions:

  • Regular Papers: 6 – 9 pages (including references)
  • Long Papers: 10 – 18 pages (including references)

IMPORTANT: Paper length should reflect the significance of the contribution. A novel idea presented concisely is more likely to be accepted than the same idea in an extended format; therefore, shorter, more focused papers are encouraged. Papers will be selected for oral or poster presentation based on author preference and reviewer recommendations, regardless of their length.

Article Preparation

Templates: Authors must use the provided Springer templates without any modifications.

Anonymization: We are instituting a default (and strongly recommended) policy of double-blind reviewing for EH 2026. In this option, authors ensure their submission PDF does not include identifying information, such as author names, affiliations, or acknowledgments, in the manuscript or file metadata. See more information and guidelines about preparing your paper for double-blind review, or choosing to opt out of it, below.

Camera-ready information

Authors should consult Springer’s Instructions for Authors of Proceedings and use either the LaTeX or the Word templates provided on the authors’ page for the preparation of their papers. Please find below the paper templates either for LaTex or Microsoft Word as .zip-files for download:

The submissions will be done through PCS system. No modifications to the template should be done.

Please ensure that the details entered in PCS (authors names and affiliations, paper’s title) are correct and consistent with what you have indicated in the article’s PDF.

During the camera-ready submission process, authors will be asked to sign the Springer copyright form and submit the source files of the their article.

Copyright and Open Access

By default, papers are not published as open access. However, authors have the option to make their accepted paper open access through Springer’s “Open Choice” program. This option is chosen at the time of submitting the camera-ready version of an accepted manuscript.

  • Under the Springer Open Choice model, authors (or their funders) are responsible for paying the open access fee. The current fee for open access publishing of individual papers is EUR 2390 per paper. Authors who opt for Open Choice will be required to sign an Open Access license-to-publish form, which will be provided to them individually.
  • Authors who stay with the default option (non-open access, no additional charges) will be required to upload a Springer copyright form.
  • Self-Archiving (Green Open Access): Authors may self-archive the accepted version of their manuscript on their personal website or in an institutional repository, provided that access to the article is embargoed for 12 months after first publication. More information can be found here.

Submission and Review
  • Submission System: All papers must be submitted through the PCS system (https://new.precisionconference.com/submissions).
  • Author Information: Authors are responsible for ensuring that the author names, affiliations, and paper title are correct and consistent with the information in the submitted PDF.
  • Supporting the Review Process: To ensure high-quality reviews, at least one author per submitted paper is required to register as a reviewer in PCS and agree to review up to three papers. Senior authors are encouraged to mentor junior authors through the review process.

Policies and Guidelines
  • Language: All submissions must be in English.
  • Ethics Approval: For papers involving human subjects, authors must confirm that appropriate ethics approval was obtained or that their institutional review board (IRB) or equivalent body determined the study was exempt from approval. Authors must confirm the study was conducted in accordance with relevant ethical guidelines.
  • Conference Presentation: Every accepted paper must be presented in person at the conference.
  • Previous Publication and Plagiarism:
    • Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published in a peer-reviewed journal, magazine, book, or meeting proceedings.
    • Simultaneous submission of a substantially similar manuscript to another conference or journal is not permitted.
    • All submissions will be checked for plagiarism. Clear instances of plagiarism will result in immediate rejection and a ban from future conferences.
  • Use of AI-generated Text:
    • The use of AI and large-scale language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT, LeChat, or Gemini is only permitted for editing the grammar of the author’s own text.
    • The use of LLMs for generating text from scratch is banned. Authors will be required to confirm authorized use of AI / LLM tools at time of submission, and articles will be checked for misuse.
  • Pre-dissemination: Uploading the submitted manuscript to a public online repository (e.g., HAL, arXiv) as well as any other publicly accessible site is permitted only after the review process is complete (i.e., the authors have been notified of the paper’s acceptance), in order to avoid compromising the double-blind review process.
  • Supplementary Materials: Authors are encouraged to submit additional media and material, such as videos and appendices, to supplement their papers. However, the paper must be understandable, complete and scientifically verifiable without these materials, and reviews will be conducted accordingly.

More Information about Eurohaptics Optional Double-Blind Review

Eurohaptics is instituting a default double-blind review process for 2026, wherein reviewers do not have access to author identity, and reviewers’ identities are not revealed to the authors. This latter practice (single-blind review) has been Eurohaptics’ past standard and, along with editorial oversight, aims to protect the integrity of reviewer feedback. However, best practices, as advised by available literature, indicate that eliminating author identity from the reviewers’ context may help reduce reviewer biases and increase authors’ perception of fairness.

At the time of submission for review, authors will be asked to indicate if they are opting out of double-blind review and (in part, to help us evaluate this policy) to briefly state their reasons.

Alternative single-blind submission: Double-blind submissions are recommended whenever possible. However, if anonymization would compromise scientific clarity, authors can choose to reveal their identities upon submission. Examples of situations when this might be necessary include:

  • The specific place of performance, user audience, geographical location, problem domain, partner company, etc., are critical to the contribution itself;
  • Anonymization would be extremely difficult, as with publicly released software or products that have an existing user community; or if the paper is a clear continuation of published prior work that no one else could have performed.

Questions and comments about this double-blind review process should be addressed to papers@2026.eurohaptics.org.

Detailed anonymization suggestions:
  1. Author identification on paper: To ensure adherence to the specified paper length, authors should use dummy text for the list of authors and affiliations (rather than simply removing the section entirely).
  2. Describing prior papers published by the authors: Exercise particular care when discussing your own prior work. Use the third person (e.g., “Lastname et al.”), as you would for papers by other authors, and include the full citation. Avoid using the first person (e.g., “we,” “I,” “our”) and refrain from disclosing your institution or country in the paper text.
  3. Images and videos: they should also be anonymized by, for example, removing or blurring recognizable faces, institution logos, and any other identifiable information for the initial submission.
  4. Validating Media: If your paper relies on the best practice of supplying reviewers with supplementary media (e.g., source code, datasets, interactive visualizations) to help them validate its accuracy or other properties, you can provide this as an anonymized attachment (e.g., git archive) or a link to an anonymous online archive.
  5. Funding information and other acknowledgments should be anonymized for the initial submission.
  6. Identifiable metadata should be removed from the submitted PDF using Adobe Acrobat or other PDF editing tools.
De-anonymization for Camera-Ready Submission of Accepted Papers:

Authors will reverse most of these practices for the final versions of their papers, with items 1 and 4 required and 2, 3 and 5 optional.
